NEUR3003/HLTH3201: Introduction to Epidemiology
Introduction to the principles and methods of epidemiology, study designs, measures of effect, sources of error, confounding, bias, internal and external validity, and causality. The course also provides an overview of the epidemiological features and risk factors for common neurological disorders. Specialized issues within epidemiology, including gene-environment interactions and the clustering of specific disease phenotypes.
The course is offered in the Winter 2026 term.

NEUR4002/4904/5203: Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis
Introduction to the methods used in conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Topics include: conducting literature searches, extracting relevant literature, assessing quality of studies, synthesizing findings across studies, and the statistical methods used to carry out a meta-analysis.
